These recipes not only taste good, but they are healthy and easy to prepare.

Gnocchi with Creamy Feta Salsa

Preparation and Cooking time 20mins

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 300gm La Cucinetta Creamy Feta Salsa
  • 750gm Potato Gnocchi
  • 100gm Finely Chopped Spinach

Steps

  1. Cook gnocchi according to package directions and drain.
  2. Place gnocchi, the Creamy Feta Salsa with chopped spinach in saucepan & gently toss until spinach wilts & mixture has heated through.
  3. Place olive oil in fry pan and heat.
  4. Once oil has reached desired temperature, place meatballs and cook until golden brown.
  5. Drain meatballs before serving.

 

Pizza il Diavolo

Preparation and Cooking time 30 - 35mins

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • Prepare Pizza Base
  • 300gm La Cucinetta Spicy Eggplant Salsa
  • 350gm Feta Cheese
  • 200gm Semi-dried Tomatoes

Steps

  1. Crumble the Feta Cheese in a bowl, then add the Spicy Eggplant Salsa and mix the ingredients well.
  2. Spread mixture evenly over pizza base and top with Semi Dried Tomatoes.
  3. Bake in a preheated (230° C ) oven until crust is lightly browned, approximately 20 minutes.

Rich Tomato Soup

Preparation and Cooking time 30mins

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 300gm La Cucinetta Rich Tomato Salsa
  • 250gm Spiral Pasta
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan
  • 1 Large Green Pepper Finely Chopped
  • 1 Large Red Pepper Finely Chopped
  • 3 Bacon Rashers Finely Chopped
  • 1 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 4 tblsps Olive Oil
  • 2 cups Water

Steps

  1. Cook Pasta as per directions on packet.
  2. Heat Oil in Large Pan.
  3. Cook onion, bacon, red & green peppers until vegetables are soft.
  4. Add Rich Tomato Salsa, 2 cups of water & cooked spiral pasta.
  5. Bring to boil & cook for another 2 minutes.
  6. Ladle soup into serving bowls & sprinkle with parmesan.

Stir Fry Veal with Kasaundi

Preparation and Cooking time 20mins

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 300gm La Cucinetta Tomato Kasaundi Salsa
  • 750gm Veal Rump
  • 1/2 cup Plain Flour
  • 3 tblsps Unsalted Butter
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Cut the meat into thin strips.
  2. Coat it in flour on both sides, shaking off excess.
  3. Melt butter in wok over high heat & cook meat for 5 minutes, adding salt to taste.
  4. Pour Tomato Kasaundi Salsa in and cook on low heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Serve hot on a bed of rice.

Tomato Coulis Meatballs

Preparation and Cooking time 35mins

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 300gm La Cucinetta Tomato Coulis
  • 500gm Pork & Veal Mince
  • 1 Egg
  • 100gm Breadcrumb
  • Enough Olive Oil for Deep Frying

Steps

  1. Combine mince, breadcrumbs, egg & Tomato Coulis in medium bowl & mix well.
  2. Roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls.
  3. Place olive oil in fry pan and heat.
  4. Once oil has reached desired temperature, place meatballs and cook until golden brown.
  5. Drain meatballs before serving.

Vegetarian Bolognese Pasta

Preparation and Cooking time 10 - 15mins

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 300gm La Cucinetta Vegetarian Bolognese
  • 500gm Pasta Spaghetti
  • Grated Parmesan Cheese

Steps

  1. Cook pasta according to packet directions.
  2. Drain cooked pasta in a colander and return to warm pan.
  3. Add the Vegetarian Bolognese Sauce and toss through pasta.
  4. Divide pasta equally between 4 individual serving bowls.
  5. Sprinkle top with Parmesan Cheese.

Note: If you wish to make it a spicy dish just add sliced fresh chilli.
